Our story

Beads that bite back.

Born on BC rivers. Built at a workbench, not a boardroom.

Why we exist

The good beads always lived across the border.

Every steelheader knows the drill. The good beads live across the border — so you pay in someone else's dollars, eat the duties, and watch the tracking sit in customs while the river drops and clears without you.

And when the order finally lands? A wall of two hundred colours with names that tell you nothing about YOUR water, YOUR run, YOUR fish.

We got tired of both. So we started pouring our own.

From the bench

One angler, one bench.

BeadnFloat started the way most tackle worth fishing does — one angler, one bench, and a stubborn belief that a bead should be built for the river it's fished in. Not designed for an Oregon catalogue and shipped north as an afterthought.

Every colour in our lineup earned its spot on West Coast water. Chartreuse that shows up in glacial green. Roe tones matched to what's actually drifting past a chum's nose in late fall. Sizes from 6mm singles to 19mm king-fodder — because a Vedder pink and a Skeena chinook are not eating the same egg.

If it didn't move a fish, it didn't make the shop. Simple as that.

What makes us different

Built different, on purpose.

01

Species-first, not colour-chaos

Five kits built around the fish, not the rainbow: West Coast Steelhead, Coho Crush, King Size Chinook, Pink Run, and Chum Chartreuse & Co. Open the box, tie on, fish. Or use our Bead Match tool and dial a colour to your species, water, and season in thirty seconds.

02

Canadian, actually

Priced in CAD. Shipped from Canada. Free over $75. No duties, no customs roulette, no "arrived two weeks after the run ended." When the river's in shape, your beads are already in the vest.

03

Soft done right

Soft beads out-fish hard plastic for one reason: fish hold on. A real egg gives; glass doesn't. Ours are poured to feel right in the mouthful and rigged to hook clean in the corner of the jaw — better for your hookup ratio, better for the fish you're releasing.

04

We teach what we sell

The Journal is our field manual: species ID plates, run timing, rigging, and a soft-bead guide written from the gravel bar, not the marketing department. Free, bilingual, no gatekeeping. Better anglers buy better beads — and release better fish.

Built for here

It's home water, not a market segment.

The West Coast isn't a market segment to us. It's home water. Boot-deep October mornings on chrome coho. The February grind for one steelhead that makes the season. The pink years when the whole river lights up.

Our beads are matched to Pacific runs, our sizes to Pacific eggs, and our seasons to yours — because they're ours too.

No filler colours. No border tax on your season. No bead we wouldn't fish ourselves.

Beads that bite back — and a company that gives a damn about the rivers they swim in.
